About the Role
As a Lead Document Controller at Baker Hughes you will coordinate document control for large‑scale subsea projects in a client‑facing, high‑profile environment. The position offers significant scope for growth and development while working within a dynamic project team. You will be accountable for managing technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including storage, review, approval, distribution, and maintaining the Master Document Register in an electronic system. Acting as the single point of contact for the client, you will supervise the global document control team, ensure compliance with contractual requirements and global SP&S standards, and provide regular reports and metrics to both Baker Hughes and the client. Additionally, you will drive on‑time delivery of documentation, identify improvement opportunities, and help raise the profile of document control across the business. • Manage technical documentation for large‑scale subsea projects, including storage, review, approval, and distribution. • Serve as the single point of contact for the client on document control matters. • Supervise and direct the global document control team. • Identify client contractual document control requirements and implement a compliant project‑specific Document Management Plan. • Maintain the Master Document Register in an electronic document management system. • Produce and distribute document control reports and metrics to Baker Hughes and the client. • Ensure timely delivery of technical documentation throughout the project. • Ensure adherence to global SP&S standards for document control. • Identify improvement opportunities, escalate concerns, and implement improvements. • Promote the profile of document control across the project and wider SP&S business.
