About the Role

• Perform site development engineering and project management for land‑development projects. • Produce civil design, permitting documents, and bid packages using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, hydrology and storm‑drainage modeling software. • Conduct research, coordinate with staff, estimate costs, and manage project schedules and client interactions. • Mentor junior staff and receive on‑the‑job and formal training, including exposure to plan production and project financials.

What You Bring

Kimley‑Horn's Santa Clarita office is hiring a Civil Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) with over three years of civil engineering experience to join its Land Development team. This on‑site position is not remote. • Hold 3+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm and a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program. • Possess an EIT or Engineering Intern certification, or be able to obtain it within 12 months. • Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. • Show urgency, self‑initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
