About the Role
The Production Assistant will support the Production Manager in meeting production targets, quality standards, cost effectiveness, and productivity. The role focuses on achieving operational efficiency and continuous improvement. • Develop productivity improvements while maintaining labor effectiveness. • Monitor and calibrate measurement/testing equipment in production. • Identify and implement corrective actions for workmanship quality defects. • Establish best work practices to meet daily production targets and weekly plans. • Deliver classroom training for shop floor workers on specific job applications. • Lead the production department in meeting Cx, ISO, and EH&S standards. • Manage the fixed assets list and indirect material ordering/replenishment. • Participate in company initiatives such as Kaizen events and EH&S activities. • Approve leave requests for bargainable workers under supervision.
