About the Role

The Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician will lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. This role supports the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems, managing projects, and mentoring both service and contract technicians. Daily duties include promoting a safe work environment, maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems, and performing preventative‑maintenance audits. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, sensors and motor starters, as well as create and close work orders with detailed labor and parts data. Training plans and emergency‑repair work plans for critical assets will also be developed. • Standing/walking on concrete surfaces for 10+ hour shifts • Working at heights and pushing/pulling wheeled equipment and carts up to 100 lb • Lead service technicians in installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment • Design solutions for complex problems and manage projects for the Operations Maintenance team • Train and mentor service and contract technicians • Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems and control components • Create and close work orders, documenting labor hours, maintenance activities and parts used • Develop training plans and emergency‑repair work plans for critical assets

What You Bring

The position requires repetitive bending, crouching, lifting parts up to 49 lb, and standing or walking for shifts of up to 12 hours, with travel up to 20 % and the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays. Working conditions may involve small spaces, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, vibration and uneven surfaces, and may require working at heights and maneuvering bulky equipment. • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights and/or holidays • 3+ years of experience conducting preventative maintenance • 3+ years of experience reading blueprints and schematics • 2+ years of work order management • Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in Mechanical or Electrical field • 5+ years of experience working with automated conveyors and controls • 2+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles • 4+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical field • Previous leadership experience • Previous vendor management experience • Experience with robotic maintenance • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance with OEM and safety standards • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) • Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking • Lifting parts and tools averaging 20 lb, occasionally up to 49 lb • Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, foot pedals, manual picking, pinching, holding, grasping, and wrist motion • Maneuvering awkward or bulky equipment parts and working in cramped positions under/behind machinery
