About the Role
The Technical Support Specialist provides assistance to internal users across multiple departments, diagnosing and resolving computer software and hardware issues. Support is delivered via phone, email, and in‑person interactions, with complex problems escalated to leadership to maintain smooth daily performance of organizational computer systems. Key duties include first‑level technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems, installing and configuring systems and peripherals, and managing user accounts such as password resets and access permissions. The role also involves routine maintenance tasks—system updates, backups, antivirus scans—documenting solutions, collaborating with other IT team members, and participating in assigned IT projects. • Provide first-level technical support to internal users via phone, email, and in-person. • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly. • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and applications. • Manage user accounts, including password resets and access permissions. • Perform routine maintenance such as updates, backups, and antivirus scans. • Document support activities and solutions for future reference. • Collaborate with IT team members and participate in IT projects.

What You Bring
Required qualifications are a High School Diploma (or equivalent), with an associate or technical degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred, and at least one year of service‑oriented call‑center experience. Candidates should have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong analytical, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills, and excellent written and verbal communication. Certifications in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C++ are considered a plus. The position demands frequent exposure to manufacturing facilities with seasonal temperature extremes, dust, and occasional chemical fumes, as well as the ability to sit for extended periods and occasional travel to customer or project sites. Work is performed primarily in a climate‑controlled office environment. • Hold a High School Diploma; associate or technical degree preferred. • Possess at least one year of service-oriented call center experience (preferred). • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in MS Office and strong problem‑solving skills. • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities. • Work independently and as part of a team with high attention to detail. • Meet physical requirements: exposure to manufacturing environment, prolonged sitting, occasional travel.
