About the Role

• Lead and support electrical aspects of solar construction projects. • Determine optimal collection‑system layout considering overhead/underground constraints and junction‑box locations. • Review manufacturer data for wiring, grounding, power factor, lightning protection, and generator outputs. • Verify construction aligns with engineering drawings and conduct QA/QC meetings. • Manage electrical design, equipment procurement, submittals, transmittals, and RFIs. • Provide technical expertise to all parties and ensure subcontractors understand scope during bidding. • Coordinate with local utilities for grid interconnection and perform loss calculations. • Develop one‑line diagrams, collection‑system and substation details, and standard construction details. • Maintain relationships with site visitors, architects, union representatives, and subcontractors. • Lead site logistics, suggest improvements, and coach team members while managing performance.

What You Bring

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, at least three years of experience in electrical construction management or design, a valid driver’s license, and a basic understanding of construction law, NEC code, and project‑management practices. Candidates should have intermediate Microsoft Office skills, strong active‑listening and communication abilities, and be able to travel up to 100% of the time.
