About the Role

Key responsibilities include strategic and technical leadership to develop nature-positive strategies aligned with TNFD, SBTN, and global frameworks; innovating solutions that integrate biodiversity, water stewardship, and climate interdependencies; designing nature-finance mechanisms and risk assessment tools for institutional investors and corporates; and supporting the development of financial instruments that embed nature considerations into capital allocation. The role also involves commercial development by identifying cross-sell opportunities across upstream, midstream, and downstream actors, collaborating with account teams to expand client relationships and unlock new revenue streams, ensuring excellence in strategic engagements for global industrial and financial clients, and positioning ERM as a thought leader in nature-finance integration through publications, events, and client forums. • Develop and implement nature-positive strategies for resource-intensive sectors and financial markets aligned with TNFD, SBTN, and global frameworks. • Design nature-finance mechanisms, investment frameworks, and risk assessment tools for institutional investors and corporates. • Support creation of financial instruments that embed nature considerations into capital allocation and performance models. • Identify and pursue cross‑sell opportunities across upstream, midstream, and downstream actors to expand client relationships and revenue. • Ensure excellence in strategic engagements for global industrial and financial clients. • Publish thought leadership and represent ERM at events, client forums, and publications on nature‑finance integration.

What You Bring

ERM is seeking a strategic leader with deep expertise in nature strategies at the nexus of industry, finance, and biodiversity. The role will shape and deliver a major global program focused on nature-positive transformation across value chains while driving commercial growth and innovation in nature-finance solutions. Candidates should hold an advanced degree in environmental science, sustainability, finance or a related field, and have 10+ years of experience in sustainability and strategy advisory or corporate strategy roles, with a proven track record in nature-related strategies, biodiversity, and water stewardship. Strong understanding of financial markets, ESG frameworks, investment mechanisms, and familiarity with critical minerals value chains is required, along with commercial acumen, excellent communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. • Hold an advanced degree in environmental science, sustainability, finance, or a related field. • Bring 10+ years of sustainability and strategy advisory or corporate strategy experience with a proven track record in nature-related strategies. • Demonstrate strong understanding of financial markets, ESG frameworks, investment mechanisms, and familiarity with critical minerals value chains. • Possess commercial acumen, client relationship development skills, and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
