About the Role

The Quantity Surveyor will lead key elements of site‑based post‑contract cost management, working closely with the AECOM site supervision team. The role requires both collaborative teamwork and the ability to operate autonomously, with clear escalation to the line manager when needed. Daily interaction with design and client teams ensures effective delivery of cost‑control activities. Responsibilities include integrating with design and client groups, preparing financial updates, cost reports, earned‑value analyses, and cash‑flow forecasts. The Surveyor will assess progress payments, evaluate claims and change orders, and manage variations and final account settlements. These activities maintain the highest professional standards and support project profitability. • Lead site‑based post‑contract cost management, collaborating with supervision and design teams. • Evaluate and negotiate claims, variation orders, change requests, and final account settlements. • Prepare financial updates, monthly cost reports, earned‑value reports, and cash‑flow forecasts. • Assess progress payments, compare scopes of work, production rates, and cost data. • Maintain professional competence and represent the firm positively with clients.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a QS or Engineering degree and possess at least seven years of quantity surveying experience on infrastructure projects. Strong English literacy is required, with Arabic proficiency considered an asset, and proficiency in cost‑management software and industry best practices is essential. The role also demands confident presentation skills, discretion with confidential data, and the ability to lead and mentor a commercial team. • Minimum 7 years’ quantity surveying experience on infrastructure projects; QS or Engineering degree required. • Proficient in English (Arabic beneficial) and cost‑management software; strong knowledge of industry best practices. • Demonstrate leadership, confident presentation, discretion with confidential data, and ability to mentor others. • Self‑manage, prioritize multiple tasks, and build relationships across internal departments. • Exhibit high professionalism, initiative, creativity, and problem‑solving skills.
