About the Role
The Manager, Strategic Logistics works in the Enterprise Strategy department, supporting the Sr. Manager and WM Operations teams to develop and implement third‑party transportation and logistics strategies across defined geographies and lines of business. The role involves collaborating across regions to identify opportunities, mitigate risk, and drive continuous improvement; drafting supplier agreements, managing RFPs, negotiating contracts, and monitoring market trends to support strategy development. The incumbent provides consultative guidance to operations, sales, and customer service on logistics strategy, creates standardized performance reporting, and works with system management to maintain the Transportation Management System while delivering presentations and change‑management support. • Develop opportunities and leverage capabilities across geographies to mitigate risk and improve processes. • Draft formal transportation supplier agreements and contracts. • Engage with haulers and operational leadership to meet service level requirements and resolve issues promptly. • Produce regular business reviews for operations and key haulers. • Determine effective data‑analytic techniques to assess operational effectiveness. • Create and disseminate standardized performance and cost reporting for transportation processes. • Issue and manage transportation RFPs and negotiate contracts supporting business needs. • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and transportation data for strategy and risk mitigation. • Provide consultative guidance to operations, sales, and customer service on logistics strategy and vendor selection. • Design, develop, and deliver presentations to individuals or groups. • Support development, communication, and deployment of process and change‑management initiatives. • Analyze transportation supplier performance using business‑intelligence tools and cost‑modeling. • Collaborate with System Management to maintain the Transportation Management System and resolve issues quickly. • Assist in conflict‑resolution solutions for logistics challenges. • Implement solutions that build lasting partnerships with businesses, transporters, and end‑use customers.

What You Bring
No direct supervisory responsibilities. Required education is a bachelor’s degree (or high school diploma with four years experience); seven years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong skills in strategic thinking, communication, financial acumen, and data analytics (Excel, PowerBI). Preference is given to supply‑chain, logistics, finance, or analytics backgrounds.
