About the Role
In this position you will organize the technical team, control the design path, solve problems, and ensure the design achieves the intended results. You will lead complex, multidisciplinary design efforts while contributing to GHD’s regional footprint. Key duties include designing engineering solutions and validating them against functionality, performance, aesthetics, and cost; drafting and evaluating engineering standards and specifications; delivering small‑ to medium‑scale projects within established program plans; analyzing processes and specifying equipment to improve manufacturing or material systems; and managing day‑to‑day relationships with contract service providers. Additional responsibilities involve personal capability building through training and accreditation, conducting inspections of engineering works and existing installations, and managing relationships with small clients while supporting senior colleagues with larger key clients. • Design engineering solutions and validate against functional, performance, aesthetic, and cost criteria • Draft and evaluate engineering standards and specifications within the discipline • Deliver small‑to‑medium projects following established program management plans • Analyze processes and specify equipment to improve manufacturing or material systems • Manage day‑to‑day relationships with contract service providers • Conduct inspections of engineering works and existing installations, recommending remedial actions • Manage relationships with small clients and support senior staff with larger key clients

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or a related field, possess EIT certification and ideally be pursuing a PE license, and have at least six years of technical, administrative, and project experience on multi‑discipline water, wastewater, or industrial projects. Consulting experience, proficiency with scheduling software and cost estimating, willingness to travel locally (with occasional overnight), and strong communication skills to lead multidisciplinary teams are also required. • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related field • EIT certification; pursuing or holding a PE license preferred • Minimum six years of technical, administrative, and project experience on multi‑discipline water/wastewater or industrial projects • Prior consulting experience strongly desired • Proficiency with scheduling software and cost estimating techniques • Ability to travel to local client sites, with occasional overnight trips • Strong communication skills to lead multidisciplinary teams
