About the Role

Key duties include providing onsite IT support for factory‑owned assets, assisting end users in collaboration areas, and acting as the first responder for cybersecurity tasks related to IT/OT systems. You will troubleshoot kiosks, scanners and vendor machines, monitor OT behavior, install and validate security patches, and work with vendors to ensure secure configurations. • Provide onsite IT support for factory assets and end users. • Troubleshoot and maintain shop‑floor technologies such as kiosks, scanners, and vendor machines. • Act as first responder for IT/OT cybersecurity incidents and apply security patches. • Monitor OT systems, escalate abnormal behavior, and collaborate with vendors on secure configurations. • Implement security measures under guidance from global cybersecurity teams. • Utilize ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, Windows and iOS for daily support tasks. • Apply ITIL 4 and Lean Six Sigma methodologies where applicable.

What You Bring

Hitachi Energy is seeking an IT/OT Specialist – Factory Operations to bridge information technology and operational technology across its manufacturing sites. In this hands‑on position you will support critical shop‑floor technologies, enforce cybersecurity resilience, and directly influence the reliability, safety and efficiency of factory operations. Candidates must have a formal IT qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent experience, and at least two years of IT support or similar technical work. Experience with ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, Windows and iOS is required, while knowledge of ITIL 4 and Lean Six Sigma is a plus. A proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and strong communication skills in operational settings are essential. • Possess a formal IT qualification or apprenticeship and at least 2 years of IT support experience. • Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills in operational environments.
