About the Role

Technician III is responsible for operating the facility’s mechanical and supporting systems, performing structured inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, and routine or on‑demand services on mechanical equipment and other systems. The role also requires work to be performed according to established processes and to comply with internal and external requirements, including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection. The technician troubleshoots equipment, provides observations on conditions and suggests enhancements or repairs. Maintenance duties include regular monitoring inspections, preventative and corrective work, responding to service requests, and conducting walkthroughs of mechanical, electrical, and other systems. Work orders are managed from dispatch to completion with documentation in the service maintenance management database, ensuring quality and contract compliance. The role supports preventive maintenance program implementation, records deficiencies, and assists with facility‑related projects while maintaining tools and submitting expenditures promptly. Positive tenant and customer satisfaction is fostered through professional work performance and service delivery. Administrative responsibilities include ensuring compliance with corporate and legislative policies related to environmental, health and safety, fire protection, and other applicable requirements. The technician also mentors lower‑level technicians and may be required to work shifts, on‑call, and emergency call‑outs. • Provides observations about facility, facility mechanical and electrical equipment, and systems conditions and deficiencies and provides suggestions for enhancement and repair.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma with trades training or certification, and at least three years of experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems. Required knowledge includes facility operations, building automation systems, HVAC systems, and a strong environmental, health, and safety mindset, along with effective communication and mentorship skills. A valid driver’s license, ability to obtain security clearance, and adherence to PPE requirements are also mandatory. Professional accreditation may include a Building Operator Certification or an equivalent accredited credential, or a provincial HVAC or apprentice license such as a Gasfitter I & II or refrigeration license. • Building Operator Certification or equivalent through an accredited institution required. • Provincial HVAC or apprentice license (e.g., Gasfitter I & II, refrigeration license, etc.).

Benefits
