About the Role
The role is for a Consultant in the Real Estate Consulting (REC) team, supporting health and social care clients nationwide. The team identifies and tests the feasibility of real estate investment opportunities, builds cases for change, and guides clients toward optimal investment decisions. • Prepare business cases (SOC, OBC, FBC) and estate/property strategies. • Apply financial literacy and commercial analysis to decision‑making. • Integrate commercial, strategic, and operational perspectives in solutions. • Persuade, challenge, and influence key decisions with confidence. • Showcase programme, project, capital, and contract management capabilities. • Handle large data sets, analyse them, and present evidence‑based recommendations. • Manage change across multidisciplinary teams and meet tight deadlines. • Maintain good practice data management procedures. • Lead development of major capital investment business cases in health or social care (desirable). • Utilise data tools such as MS Excel and Power BI for insightful analysis.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, flexible, and an excellent communicator who can engage with clients at all levels. They should have experience preparing business cases, developing estate strategies, and holding a relevant real‑estate qualification, with exposure to both client‑side and consultancy environments. Strong interpersonal skills, financial literacy, programme and project management expertise, and the ability to analyse and present data are also essential, as is a collaborative, calm‑under‑pressure attitude and willingness to travel as required. • Hold a relevant real estate qualification or equivalent experience. • Demonstrate experience in both client‑side and consultancy settings. • Exhibit strong interpersonal, emotional intelligence, and communication skills. • Collaborate effectively, remain calm under pressure, and work well in teams. • Travel flexibly and adapt to new sectors or environments as needed. • Possess a bachelor's degree and a relevant professional qualification. • Hold a project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP) or equivalent experience. • Demonstrate proven business case writing and development skills. • Know the HM Treasury 5‑case model and support full business case development. • Achieve strong written, oral, and presentation communication abilities. • Prioritise and manage workload independently with minimal supervision. • Possess industry qualifications in surveying, engineering, finance, or accounting (desirable). • Show evidence of continuing professional development and Better Business Case accreditation (desirable). • Experience strategic infrastructure programmes in large, complex organisations. • Demonstrate initiative, resilience, and the ability to overcome challenges.
