About the Role

• Safely measure voltage, current and power in AC and DC circuits. • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot controls and electrical faults on machinery. • Use a computer and diagnostic software to diagnose electrical and automation problems. • Align, install, and maintain belt drives and pulleys; chain and sprocket drives; shaft assemblies; pillow block bearings; various couplings. • Install or replace motors. • Align, install, and maintain pneumatic lines/hoses. • Adjust and regulate pressures. • Check operation of water separator/drain in a pneumatic system as necessary. • Diagnose and repair compressors or vacuum pumps. • Use a pipe threader. • Install, repair, and maintain pumps, hoses, valves, cylinders, filters, regulators, seals. • Use proper safety equipment for welding. • Conduct all work on premises. • Work regularly in dusty factory environment subject to extreme heat and cold temperatures. • Collaborate effectively in a team environment to problem‑solve and provide backup as needed.

What You Bring

Education and Experience Requirements: An individual in this position has attained a minimum of a high school diploma/GED to meet entry‑level requirements and has completed certification in any skilled maintenance trade. Education beyond the minimum is an added advantage for career development. The individual will have 1‑3 years of basic mechanical experience, basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, and the ability to use preventive maintenance software for scheduling and monitoring equipment. Hands‑on experience with equipment controls and basic NESC, UL/ETL knowledge (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc.) is required, while current material handling certification, Lock Out/Tag Out, Lifting & Rigging, preventive or predictive maintenance, or journeyman/trades licensing is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Licenses: None. Certifications: Vo‑Tech certificate in any skilled maintenance trade (e.g., Electrical, Millwright, Plumber/Pipefitter, HVAC, Welder, Sheet Metal); associate degree preferred. Successful incumbents consistently evaluate corrective maintenance/repair on machinery and complete the designated maintenance education program. • Perform basic wiring and understand wire gauges. • Apply basic knowledge of NEC/UL codes. • Understand air and water systems. • Demonstrate basic pipe fitting knowledge (understand pipe sizes, fittings, thread types, etc.). • Understand fluid contamination prevention processes and procedures. • Possess basic knowledge of metal materials, welding rods, and welding procedures. • Recognize MIG and TIG welding equipment. • Work at heights exceeding 3 ft.
