What You Bring
The Rig Welder supports rigs in all operations that require cutting or welding, interpreting blueprints, sketches, and specifications to produce quality work with reasonable efficiency. This role can be performed in plant operations or on construction job sites. Physical demands include the ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 100 pounds), and to perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg motions. The individual must have good hand‑eye coordination, be able to climb and maintain balance on steel or wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds, and handle frequent bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, and standing. Work may occur on uneven surfaces, in confined spaces, and under adverse weather conditions such as heat, cold, or rain. Mental requirements involve clear communication with management and supervision, the ability to work at various tempos while concentrating amid distractions, and strong decision‑making skills. The welder must be detail‑oriented, capable of remembering, examining, and observing details, and able to adapt to both sedentary and heavy‑work tasks. • Cut with a hand torch and beveling machine
