About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician III you will lead service technicians in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment, support the Operations Maintenance Team by designing solutions for difficult problems, and manage projects while training and mentoring service and contract technicians. Key responsibilities include promoting a safe work environment, maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems and control components, creating and managing work orders with labor and parts data, leading and auditing preventative maintenance, mentoring junior technicians, and maintaining positive relationships across the operations facility. • Lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Design solutions for complex problems and manage maintenance projects. • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. • Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems and control components (relay logic, PLCs, sensors, motor starters, etc.). • Create, assign, and close work orders, tracking labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts usage. • Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures. • Mentor and train junior and contract technicians. • Maintain positive relationships across the operations facility. • Manage vendor relationships and document processes using Microsoft Office suite. • Utilize a CMMS for work order and preventative maintenance management. • Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, working at heights, and operating aerial lifts while wearing required PPE.

What You Bring
Basic qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent, at least four years of experience with material handling equipment, preventative maintenance, blueprint reading, and a computerized maintenance management system, as well as three years of work‑order management and two years of PLC programming experience. Experience in a team‑lead capacity, vendor management, and proficiency with Microsoft Office is also required. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s or higher degree in a mechanical or electrical field, experience with robotic operation and maintenance, and familiarity with industrial base‑building systems. Physical demands involve reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders or aerial lifts, and regularly lifting up to 50 lb of equipment while wearing required personal protective equipment such as hard hats and composite‑toe shoes. The role requires moving between departments and properties, averaging 6‑12 miles per day, and occasional computer work. • Preferred: Associate’s or higher degree in mechanical/electrical field; experience with robotics and industrial building systems.
