About the Role

The Maintenance and Facilities Technician supports the OPEX and EHS departments by maintaining the facility and production equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and minimizing downtime. The role ensures capital assets—including equipment, machinery, and the building—remain in optimal condition. • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment such as lifts, cranes, fans, motors, pumps, and pressure vessels. • Troubleshoot and repair equipment to identify root causes across electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems. • Conduct mechanical and facility repairs including painting, carpentry, plumbing, welding, and roofing. • Support daily plant operations by troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and control systems per policies. • Execute work orders and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and proactively initiate work based on observations. • Complete continuous improvement tasks (5S+, TPM, setup reduction) as needed. • Assist external contractors on plant projects and repairs. • Use hand, power, precision measuring, and testing tools for maintenance tasks. • Maintain maintenance logs and documentation. • Program and maintain PLC ladder, HMI systems, and basic languages. • Work safely at heights using fall protection and follow lockout/tagout and OSHA standards. • Read and interpret technical data, safety rules, manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

What You Bring

Candidates should have at least three years of manufacturing experience, including hands‑on work with electrical systems (24 V‑480 V), hydraulics, pneumatics, and metal fabrication. Basic computer proficiency with Windows software is required, and applicants must reside within 50 miles of the El Paso site. No relocation or immigration sponsorship is provided. • Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and PLC schematics. • Experience in metal fabrication processes and equipment. • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics for troubleshooting. • Minimum three years manufacturing or similar environment experience. • At least one year electrical experience with voltages 24 V–480 V. • At least one year hydraulics/pneumatics experience with pumps, valves, sensors, cylinders, and related components. • Basic computer skills with Windows‑based software. • Must reside within 50 mi of El Paso; no relocation provided. • Minimum five years electrical or mechanical maintenance experience. • Strong electrical background. • Two‑year technical degree or certification in electronics, electrical power, controls, fluid power, HVAC, or PLC programming. • Documented journeyman-level maintenance experience (three years) in industrial electrical/mechanical trade. • Licensed HVAC technician, plumber, and/or electrician. • Prior manufacturing or assembly operation experience. • Familiarity with wastewater treatment. • Demonstrated knowledge of PLC electronic controls. • Basic English and Spanish literacy; bilingual preferred. • Ability to travel internationally, including Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Canada. • Advanced skills in hydraulic/pneumatic systems, electrical, mechanical, and PLC troubleshooting. • Strong organizational, presentation, facilitation, and conflict‑resolution abilities. • Effective written and verbal communication across plant personnel. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multitask environment. • Dexterity to operate equipment, machinery, and computers (Windows, MS Office, industrial software). • Familiarity with DC and AC power up to three‑phase 480 V.
