About the Role

• Apply security patches and system updates in compliance with DHS/USCIS cybersecurity requirements (e.g., STIGs, IAVAs, RMF). • Install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based servers and networking equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper). • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce security policies and perform vulnerability remediation. • Assist with incident response, change management, and system recovery efforts. • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures. • Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and other core IT services. • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation as required. • Provide Tier II/III support and mentoring to junior team members. • Implement and manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure). • Support daily operations of the USCIS network and system infrastructure across multiple sites. • Monitor network and system performance, using tools like SolarWinds, Splunk, or similar.

What You Bring

• Experience with system imaging, backups, and disaster recovery solutions. • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing/switching, VPNs, and firewall configurations. • 3-5 years of experience in network and systems administration. • Azure Administrator Associate, or VMware Certified Professional (VCP). • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, CCNA, Microsoft Certified: • Experience supporting cloud migrations or hybrid environments. • Experience managing Microsoft Windows Server environments and Active Directory. • Experience working on federal contracts, preferably with DHS/USCIS. • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one. • U.S. Citizenship required (per federal contract requirements). • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, or other ITSM tools. • Knowledge of NIST, FISMA, and DHS cybersecurity compliance standards. • Familiarity with Linux administration (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
