About the Role
The role involves day‑to‑day technical transport planning input, project management responsibilities and mentoring Early Career Professionals to support successful project delivery. You will lead transport planning on small to medium projects, collaborate with senior colleagues on complex multi‑disciplinary programmes, enhance your commercial skills and expand your professional network for business development. • Lead technical work on transport assessments, travel plans, access and parking strategies, and sustainable/active travel, using NPPF, DfT guidelines and Manual for Streets. • Prepare traffic flow data for transport assessments or environmental statements. • Set up and run junction capacity modelling (Junctions 10, Linsig) and perform scenario testing. • Manage budgets, resources and invoicing for small to medium projects. • Conduct or supervise conceptual junction design, including priorities, roundabouts and signals. • Mentor and share knowledge with Early Career Professionals. • Develop a professional network of co‑professionals and clients.

We are hiring a Principal Development Planner with strong transport planning experience to join our Development team in Liverpool, working on commercial, retail and residential projects, developing transport strategies, contributing to masterplans and providing Expert Witness evidence for both private and public sector clients. • Communicate confidently with clients, project teams, co‑professionals and stakeholders. • Proficient in everyday software such as Excel and Word. • Experienced transport planner with postgraduate experience, ideally pursuing chartered status.
