About the Role

The position involves improvement and innovation by running, analyzing, calibrating, and modifying hydraulic models using InfoWater, WaterGEMS, InfoWorks ICM, HAMMER or similar software to meet design criteria. You will assist in modelling and designing infrastructure such as water mains, sewers, force mains, pumping stations, and treatment plants, and contribute to condition assessment and master planning projects. Preparing modelling documentation, technical memoranda, design reports, proposals, cost estimates, and drawings is also part of the role. You will support senior staff with client relationships, collaborate with service line leaders and project managers, and provide training and mentorship to junior staff. Field work, including tests to evaluate existing water infrastructure, will be conducted under supervision. • Run, analyze, calibrate, and modify hydraulic models using InfoWater, WaterGEMS, InfoWorks ICM, HAMMER, or similar tools. • Model and design water mains, sewers, force mains, pumping stations, and treatment plants; support condition assessment and master planning. • Prepare modelling documentation, technical memoranda, design reports, proposals, cost estimates, and engineering drawings. • Support senior staff with client relationship management and collaborate with service line leaders and project managers. • Provide training and mentorship to junior staff on hydraulic modelling methods. • Conduct field tests and evaluations of existing water infrastructure under supervision.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Civil or Water Resource Engineering (or similar) and has at least three years of experience in water and wastewater modelling projects. Proficiency with InfoWorks ICM, InfoWorks WS, WaterGEMS, and InfoWater is required; experience with HAMMER or InfoSurge, pumping station design, large‑scale model calibration, master planning, CFD, and public or private client work are considered assets. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential, and the role requires willingness to travel within Ontario and Canada. • Hold a degree in Civil or Water Resource Engineering (or related field) with 3+ years of water/wastewater modelling experience. • Proficient in InfoWorks ICM, InfoWorks WS, WaterGEMS, and InfoWater; experience with HAMMER/InfoSurge, pumping station design, large‑scale model calibration, CFD, and client engagements is an asset. • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; willing to travel within Ontario and Canada.
