About the Role
• Manage business development positioning activities and create strategic plans to win work. • Develop internal and external marketing, branding, advertising materials and presentations. • Coordinate pre‑qualification efforts and gather customer feedback on proposals. • Serve as liaison between business development, pre‑construction, and marketing teams. • Conduct market‑sector analysis, identify new opportunities, and nurture strategic partnerships. • Build and maintain relationships with customers, design professionals, utilities, equipment manufacturers, and engineering firms. • Complete RFPs with 100 % accuracy and compliance to owner specifications. • Support the development team, follow direction, and participate in performance reviews. • Use forethought and planning in decision‑making to ensure project success.

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking an experienced Business Development Executive for the Advanced Manufacturing Group. The role requires interacting with staff at all levels, being flexible, resourceful, proactive, and maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail are essential. The executive will partner with market leaders to develop positioning strategies and win project work. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, Engineering or a related field. • Minimum 10 years of business development experience in the industry and proven customer‑relationship skills. • Demonstrated ability to execute successful marketing strategies and perform detailed market analysis. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, project software, and relevant CRM applications. • Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel up to 75 % of the time.

Benefits
The position offers a base salary of $168,100‑$252,200, with higher ranges for certain locations, eligibility for Mortenson’s incentive plan, and a comprehensive benefits package.
