About the Role
A Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck, provides prompt and courteous waste removal services, ensures the vehicle complies with company safety standards, adheres to all state and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports to confirm timely repairs shuffled defects. Key responsibilities include performing comprehensive pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, reading route sheets and following maps to service each customer, operating manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact and dispose of waste at designated facilities, and maintaining courteous interactions with customers, dispatchers and coworkers. The driver must identify and tag unsatisfactory containers, monitor waste for prohibited materials, clean any accidental spills according to safety protocols, keep the truck clean after each run, and complete required route sheets, productivity reports and vehicle condition reports. • Conduct full pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and daily vehicle condition reports • Operate the collection truck safely on assigned routes, loading, compacting and disposing of waste • Read route sheets, follow maps, and service each customer as directed • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and coworkers • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers per procedures • Monitor waste for prohibited items and clean accidental spills following safety standards • Clean truck components (packer blade, body) after each disposal run • Complete route productivity sheets, VCRs and other required reports • Meet department productivity standards and adhere to all safety policies • Participate actively in the Company’s ReSOP safety program • Apply good time‑management, follow‑through and honest work practices

Preferred qualifications include two years of commercial truck experience; minimum requirements are a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement. The position offers a union hourly wage of $35.93.
