About the Role

AECOM is seeking a senior Community Engagement Manager to lead engagement and communications for large infrastructure projects across the DFW Metroplex and nationally. The role collaborates with client and specialist teams and is accountable for scope, schedule, budget, and quality while driving stakeholder and community outreach. • Set strategic direction and implement Stakeholder/Community Engagement and Communications Plans. • Develop detailed solutions using industry best practices for complex project challenges. • Oversee production, quality control, and approval of client engagement and communications deliverables. • Lead public and stakeholder engagement activities such as workshops, advisory committees, meetings, and open houses. • Provide guidance on reputational risk management for clients. • Identify and map key stakeholders and define outreach strategies. • Evaluate engagement results against project objectives. • Lead client communications and build relationships with key contacts. • Manage multiple project teams and direct reports. • Drive growth of community engagement services and identify new business opportunities. • Contribute to large proposals and expand client service offerings. • Serve as internal subject matter expert on community engagement.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience (or equivalent). • 8+ years in stakeholder or communications management on large infrastructure programs. • 15+ years of overall professional experience in communications, community engagement, or stakeholder management. • 5+ years working on large infrastructure projects or programs. • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and develop effective communication strategies. • Experience leading small teams (2‑5 people) to implement engagement plans. • Skilled in facilitating stakeholder meetings and workshops. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with program leaders, clients, and the public. • Experience with government, media, and public relations, stakeholder analysis, and facilitation.
