About the Role

The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance Team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. The role also involves installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. Key duties include promoting safety, completing preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems on conveyors, belts, motors, photo‑eyes, and relays. The technician creates, assigns, and closes work orders, tracks labor hours, parts, and inventory, and mentors junior technicians while maintaining positive relationships across the facility. • Promote a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures. • Perform preventative maintenance on material handling equipment and document activities. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on conveyors, motors, sensors, and relays. • Create, assign, and close work orders, tracking labor hours, parts, and inventory in the CMMS. • Mentor junior technicians and foster teamwork across the operations facility. • Maintain equipment inventory and ensure proper PPE usage.

What You Bring

Basic qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment and conducting predictive maintenance, and one year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading. Candidates must understand electrical and electronic principles, be proficient with a CMMS and Microsoft Office, and be able to work flexible schedules. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in a mechanical or electrical field, knowledge of OEM safety standards, and experience with robotic operation and maintenance. Physical demands involve reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lb, and wearing required PPE in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures. • Hold a high school diploma plus 2+ years experience with MHE repair and predictive maintenance. • Read blueprints and electrical schematics; apply electrical/electronic principles. • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and CMMS for documentation. • Preferred: associate degree in mechanical/electrical, experience with robotics and OEM safety standards. • Ability to lift 50 lb, work overhead, kneel, climb ladders, and work flexible shifts.
