About the Role

Account Managers in the program combine classroom instruction, independent study, and hands‑on training to understand White Cap’s products, vendors, pricing, and sales techniques. They create and execute account plans, promote the White Cap value proposition, and learn effective sales calls by riding along with experienced managers. Additional duties include processing customer orders and other tasks as assigned. • Participate in classroom, independent study, and on‑job training covering White Cap’s products, vendors, pricing, and sales approach. • Prepare and execute account plans and sell White Cap’s value proposition. • Conduct jobsite and office sales calls alongside District Sales Managers or experienced Account Managers. • Enter and process customer orders and perform other assigned duties. • Operate a company or personal vehicle >80% of the work week; maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record.

What You Bring

The role requires regular use of a company or personal vehicle, accounting for more than 80 % of a typical work week. Candidates must have an acceptable motor vehicle record, which will be verified through a standard MVR report. Preferred candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or have one to two years of sales experience. Strong communication skills, self‑governance, a proactive attitude, and personal accountability are essential. The ideal applicant is competitive, goal‑oriented, open to feedback, organized, and may have Spanish language proficiency. • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or 1‑2 years sales experience. • Demonstrate strong communication, self‑governance, proactive attitude, and personal accountability. • Competitive, goal‑oriented, receptive to feedback, and able to plan daily activities. • Spanish language proficiency desired.
