About the Role
Key responsibilities include carrying out routine inspections, servicing, maintaining, and repairing both fixed and mobile plant equipment. The successful candidate will communicate with plant teams to plan maintenance, execute upgrades and improvement projects, and ensure work is completed efficiently to minimise production downtime. Additional duties involve minor fabrication, supporting the training of plant batchers in basic preventative maintenance, and accurately recording all activities in the company systems. • Perform routine inspections, service, maintain, and repair fixed and mobile plant equipment. • Follow all health and safety procedures and work safely at all times. • Coordinate maintenance schedules with plant teams to minimise production downtime. • Execute upgrades, improvement projects, and minor fabrication across metro sites. • Support training of plant batchers in basic preventative maintenance. • Accurately record maintenance activities in the company system.

What You Bring
Heidelberg Materials is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter or Boilermaker to support its concrete plants across the Sydney metropolitan area. The role offers a stable, full‑time schedule with the variety of working on multiple sites, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. It is a mobile position, with a company‑provided work ute to travel between sites and collaborate with various teams daily. Applicants must hold a trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter, Boilermaker, or an equivalent credential, along with plant maintenance experience—preferably in the concrete industry. Strong troubleshooting and fault‑finding abilities, a practical improvement‑focused mindset, a current Australian driver’s licence, and a White Card are essential requirements. • Hold a Trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter or Boilermaker (or equivalent). • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and fault‑finding skills. • Possess a current Australian driver’s licence and White Card.
