About the Role

A Driver – CDL (A) safely operates heavy commercial trucks, tractor‑trailers, or straight trucks with a pup trailer, delivering and removing large containers while ensuring vehicle compliance with company safety standards, state and federal regulations, and completing daily vehicle condition reports. • Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls. • Safely operate the heavy truck along designated routes, reading route sheets, following maps, and servicing customers as assigned. • Use manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of refuse at designated facilities. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and colleagues to ensure timely and professional service. • Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the container yard. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to departmental procedures. • Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials. • Clean areas around accidental waste spills while adhering to safety standards and policies. • Continuously monitor vehicle condition to maintain operational readiness and minimize downtime. • Complete required route/productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports, and other mandated documentation. • Maintain adherence to departmental productivity standards to ensure efficient customer service. • Follow all required safety policies and procedures. • Actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP (Response and Safety Operations) program. • Provide excellent customer service with professionalism, courtesy, and honesty. • Adhere to company policies, promote safety standards, and avoid inappropriate risks. • Access health care and dependent care spending accounts. • Utilize the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EAP). • Take advantage of employee discount programs.

What You Bring

• Demonstrate strong time‑management skills to complete responsibilities efficiently and safely. • Exhibit reliable follow‑through on schedules and challenges. • Preferably have two years of prior commercial truck driving experience. • Possess mechanical aptitude to perform minor container repairs. • Hold a Class A Commercial Driver’s license with air‑brake endorsement.
