About the Role

• Lead feasibility, concept, and detailed design of EV charging projects, from local authority schemes to megawatt‑scale hubs. • Design integrated renewable energy systems (solar PV, battery storage, microgrids) to support net‑zero targets. • Provide low‑voltage electrical design leadership, ensuring right‑first‑time delivery and CDM compliance. • Conduct technical reviews, clarifying scope and ensuring high‑quality design outputs. • Manage programme, cost, risk, and resource planning for design packages. • Identify risks, issues and opportunities to optimise delivery and client value. • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors and stakeholders throughout project stages. • Facilitate workshops such as clash detection, design coordination and interface management. • Mentor and develop early‑career engineers, contributing to line‑management and performance appraisals. • Support bid teams with technical scoping, estimation and solution development. • Promote WSP’s capabilities internally and externally, expanding professional networks. • Deliver low‑voltage electrical design in transport, energy or infrastructure projects. • Lead and mentor design teams, driving high‑quality outcomes.

What You Bring

• Hands‑on experience with EV charging infrastructure, electrical design or energy systems. • Exhibit excellent communication and stakeholder management with influencing skills. • Hold professional registration (IEng or CEng) or demonstrate progression toward it. • Knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382). • Experience with AutoCAD and ElectricalOM (advantageous).
