About the Role

Under the direction of the supervisor, the Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse A is responsible for storing and locating raw material, semi‑finished, and finished parts according to established layouts and procedures. The role includes reading routing sheets, blueprints, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, operating forklifts and hand trucks to transport materials, and assisting with loading and unloading trucks. The employee receives packages from overnight delivery services, delivers them to the appropriate personnel, and maintains accurate inventory records, notifying the Administrative Manager of low stock. Additional tasks involve transporting materials between receiving, production, and storage areas, inspecting items for damage, weighing or counting goods for distribution, and adhering to cleanup, housekeeping, quality, and safety regulations. • Read routing sheets, blueprints, or requisitions to identify items for movement. • Operate forklifts and hand trucks to transport stored items. • Load and unload trucks and receive packages from delivery services. • Deliver packages to the appropriate personnel. • Maintain inventory records and alert the Administrative Manager of low stock. • Transport materials between receiving, production, and storage areas. • Inspect material and packages for damage, rust, or faults. • Weigh or count items to ensure compliance with distribution and shipping standards. • Follow cleanup, housekeeping, quality, and safety procedures. • Perform shipper and receiver duties as required. • Operate a forklift and lift up to 40 lb safely.

What You Bring

The position requires at least one year of shipping and receiving experience and the ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages. Candidates must be proficient with computers, hand tools, and have a basic understanding of machine‑shop procedures.
