About the Role
The Assistant Property Manager, Multifamily at The Brixen is tasked with keeping community properties market-ready and delivering a consistently high level of service. This role also involves building and motivating high-performing teams to maximize property performance. In a fast-paced environment, the Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager with daily operations such as maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control and audits. The position also ensures superior customer service and communication with residents and prospects, completes lease and renewal paperwork to company standards, tracks advertising effectiveness, and upholds the Cushman & Wakefield mission and policies. The role oversees the on-site team, handling interviewing, hiring, coaching and performance monitoring, while maintaining resident files, resolving conflicts promptly, and managing the overall community budget and finances. Collaboration with leasing staff is essential to meet leasing and marketing goals. • Assist the Property Manager with daily operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, and marketing. • Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to increase satisfaction, renewals, and revenue. • Complete lease and renewal paperwork in accordance with company standards. • Track advertising performance and manage prospect traffic. • Model the Cushman & Wakefield mission and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. • Oversee on-site staff hiring, training, coaching, and performance management. • Maintain resident files and resolve conflicts promptly. • Manage community budget, finances, and expense controls. • Collaborate with leasing staff to achieve leasing and marketing targets. • Set leasing goals, coach staff, and supervise daily team operations.

What You Bring
Key competencies include effective oral and written communication, strong customer-service orientation, proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet tools, general office, bookkeeping and sales skills, and the ability to set leasing goals, supervise daily operations, and manage a team. The Assistant Property Manager must also be able to perform other related duties as assigned. Education requirements include a high school diploma, GED or technical/vocational training, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. Candidates should have at least three years of property-management experience and one year of management experience. The position operates in a professional office setting, requires occasional travel between properties, and involves physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lb.
