About the Role
Key responsibilities include designing medium and low‑voltage power distribution, backup and emergency systems, creating schematics and installation drawings, and ensuring compliance with NEC and IEC standards. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on specifications, budgets, and design criteria, perform load‑balancing and capacity planning, oversee maintenance and testing, develop safety procedures and training, and act as mentor and Engineer of Record for the electrical discipline. • Design and implement medium/low‑voltage power distribution and backup systems for hyper‑scale data centers. • Produce electrical schematics, bills of materials, and installation drawings. • Ensure designs comply with NEC, IEC and other relevant codes. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define specifications, budgets and design criteria. • Perform load‑balancing, capacity planning and power‑consumption optimization analyses. • Lead preventative maintenance, testing and repair of data‑center electrical systems. • Develop and deliver electrical safety procedures and technician training programs. • Provide technical mentorship, sign‑off as Engineer of Record, and approve project work. • Prepare engineering cost and schedule estimates for large, complex projects. • Manage client relationships and support business development efforts.

What You Bring
The firm is seeking an Electrical Engineer Lead specialized in hyper‑scale data centers. This remote role, based in any U.S. office, will design, implement, and maintain electrical systems for large‑scale facilities, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and have at least eight years of relevant experience, along with a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Preferred qualifications include ten years of data‑center electrical design experience, deep knowledge of NEC, strong leadership and communication skills, BIM proficiency (ACC Cloud), and a track record in critical‑facility projects. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and ≥8 years of data‑center electrical design experience. • Professional Engineer (PE) license required. • In‑depth knowledge of NEC (NFPA‑70) and IEC standards. • Proven leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. • Experience with BIM software, preferably ACC Cloud. • Strong background in critical‑facility power systems and safety protocols.
