About the Role

The Virtual Construction Engineer supports project teams by creating virtual construction content for project pursuits and executing the virtual construction plan throughout design and construction phases. The role involves developing visual sequencing, VDC content for proposals, coordinating design models, capturing existing conditions with laser scanning, drones and 360 photography, and producing VR/AR experiences to aid communication and scope clarification. During construction, the engineer leads model‑based MEP and building envelope coordination, ensures installations meet safety and quality standards, captures job‑site progress, aligns virtual construction schedules with overall project timelines, and fosters relationships with trade partners and integrated service teams. • Create visual sequencing and logistics content for project proposals and interviews. • Develop VDC deliverables during preconstruction and design phases. • Review and coordinate design team models; capture existing conditions using laser scanning, drones, and 360° photography. • Produce VR and AR experiences to enhance project communication and scope clarification. • Lead model‑based MEP and building enclosure coordination during construction. • Ensure installations comply with safety and quality standards. • Capture and analyze jobsite progress with laser scanning, drones, and 360° documentation. • Align virtual construction schedules with overall project timelines and conduct site visits as needed. • Support the Underground Utility Damage Prevention program and BIM initiatives. • Build and maintain strong relationships with design teams, trade partners, and integrated service teams.

What You Bring

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in BIM, construction management, architecture or a related field, 0‑3 years of general contractor experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks, strong communication and relationship‑building skills, and the ability to work independently while being detail‑oriented. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in BIM, construction management, architecture, or a related discipline. • Have 0‑3 years of experience with a general contractor and be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, self‑motivation, and detail‑orientation.
