About the Role
We are seeking a Transportation Project Manager based in Tucson, AZ, to lead and manage projects from inception through contract closeout. The role includes full fiscal responsibility, budget and schedule oversight, and serving as the primary liaison between AECOM and the client. The manager will direct task leads, enforce company policies, and ensure technical assignments are executed effectively. • Develop and execute project pursuits and delivery in coordination with local management. • Create and implement opportunity capture strategies, including team formation and resource identification for winning projects. • Build and maintain relationships with external and internal clients. • Manage and mentor staff to ensure seamless design and plan development. • Act as a visible leader and trusted advisor, promoting AECOM’s values to clients. • Apply strong analytical, technical, and written/oral communication skills.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a BA/BS degree with at least eight years of relevant experience and possess an Arizona Professional Engineer license. Preferred qualifications include 15+ years of progressive project design and delivery experience, proven client relationship and business development skills, and prior management of transportation projects for Arizona cities and counties. • Demonstrate a proven record in client account management, project pursuit execution, and engineering staff development. • Minimum: BA/BS degree and 8+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent). • Minimum: Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) license. • Preferred: 15+ years of progressive experience designing and delivering projects. • Preferred: Experience in client relationship management and business development. • Preferred: Project manager experience on transportation projects with Arizona cities and counties.
