About the Role

The assembler will perform diverse sub‑assembly and final‑assembly tasks on underground switchgear, handling light to heavy‑duty components, electrical routing, hi‑pot and functional testing, kitting and packaging. Responsibilities include following procedures, setting up workstations, completing paperwork, screening defective parts, collaborating with other departments, and supporting QA/Engineering on new product development. • Perform light, medium, and heavy‑duty assembly, electrical routing, hi‑pot and functional testing, kitting and packaging • Follow established procedures, set up workstations, record labor, move finished products to outgoing zone • Inspect and adjust defective parts; report issues to Team Leader or Supervisor • Collaborate with other departments and assist QA/Engineering on new product development

What You Bring

Required qualifications are a high school diploma or GED, at least six months of manufacturing, military or related experience, and residence within 50 miles of the site. Preferred qualifications include one year of manufacturing experience and training in soldering, brazing, and electrical terminology. Candidates must be able to read blueprints, use MS Office and SAP, stand or walk an 8‑hour shift, and lift/push/pull 48 lb with or without accommodation. • Required: high school diploma/GED, ≥6 months relevant experience, reside within 50 mi of location • Preferred: ≥1 year manufacturing experience, soldering/brazing training, knowledge of electrical circuits • Must read blueprints, use Microsoft Office and SAP, stand/walk 8‑hour shift, lift/push/pull 48 lb

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking an Assembler – 3rd Shift (Dept 06) in South Milwaukee, WI. The position pays $21.40 per hour plus a $2.50 shift premium, with core hours 10:30 pm–6:30 am; overtime may be required. A $3,000 sign‑on bonus is offered in two installments under specific terms.
