About the Role
The Survey & Inspection Specialist visits customer homes to collect detailed measurements, photographs, and structural/electrical data needed for solar design, and conducts roof, attic, and electrical panel assessments using standardized tools. After gathering data, the specialist submits it via mobile field tools and later performs post‑installation inspections to confirm that systems meet approved plans, code, workmanship, and safety standards. Team members follow daily and intraday schedules that may span multiple locations, proactively planning their own work while communicating any access issues or delays to internal teams. Flexibility is required for occasional weekends, extended shifts, or holidays, and representatives must maintain tools, safety equipment, and professional conduct during all customer interactions, including driving company‑provided vehicles between sites. • Visit customer homes to record measurements, photos, and structural/electrical data for solar designs. • Assess roof conditions, electrical panels, and property features using standardized tools. • Perform ladder climbs, rooftop walks, and attic inspections as needed. • Submit survey data promptly via mobile field tools. • Conduct post‑installation inspections to verify readiness for final AHJ or utility approval. • Ensure installed systems match approved plans and meet code, workmanship, and safety standards. • Collaborate with install teams and project managers to resolve inspection issues. • Document inspection readiness with photos, checklists, and notes. • Schedule and coordinate inspections with AHJ and customers. • Follow daily schedules across multiple sites and proactively plan own work. • Communicate access issues, delays, or discrepancies to internal teams. • Maintain tools and safety equipment in good condition. • Represent Sunrun professionally in all customer‑facing interactions. • Work occasional weekends, extended shifts, or holidays based on demand. • Attend safety briefings, training, and field team huddles. • Drive company‑provided or approved vehicles between job sites.

What You Bring
Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, with at least one year of field construction experience preferred, and should be comfortable working on roofs, ladders, and in confined spaces. Basic knowledge of photovoltaic design, hand tools, measuring devices, and mobile technology is essential, along with OSHA 10/30 certification preferred, a clean driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lb and climb 30‑ft ladders. • Hold a high school diploma or GED; one year of field construction experience preferred. • Possess basic PV design/installation knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and mobile tech. • Have OSHA 10/30 certification (preferred) and a clean driver’s license. • Be able to lift 50 lb, climb 30‑ft ladders, and work in roofs, attics, and outdoor conditions.
