About the Role
The Journeyman Boilermaker will construct iron and steel structures according to specifications, including work on a Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) and related miscellaneous structures. • Read blueprints and specifications to determine material locations, quantities, and sizes. • Identify and gather all tools required for each task. • Recognize safety risks and implement appropriate precautions. • Fabricate equipment according to blueprints or supervisor instructions. • Hoist equipment and tools into position using bull rigs or cranes. • Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of structural‑steel members with plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, or levels. • Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts following plans. • Bolt aligned members for permanent riveting or bolting. • Pull, push, or pry steel components into approximate positions for bolting. • Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel pieces using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment.

What You Bring
ZACHRY is seeking an experienced Maintenance Industrial NCCER Boilermaker for the EXXONMOBILE Beaumont project in Beaumont, Texas. No per‑diem compensation will be provided. Applicants must have at least four years of NCCER Boilermaker experience with exchangers, meet all knowledge, skill, and ability requirements, be capable of performing the physical duties, work safely at heights over 300 ft, and possess the necessary tools and reliable transportation. The role demands extensive standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting up to 50 lb, communication, and the use of arms and hands for handling materials and tools. Workers will operate at heights, on ladders, platforms, and man lifts, and must follow fall‑protection protocols while wearing required PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, safety vests, gloves, and leather boots. Preferred candidates are current or former Zachry employees, have prior experience with Zachry Industrial, hold NCCER certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter, and possess formal or technical education.
