What You Bring

The Deployment and Services Apprenticeship is based in London and spans three years, offering work placements across signalling, telecommunications and other rail disciplines. Apprentices receive academic and professional training while gaining safety accreditation to work on the railway. The role involves shift work, including nights, across multiple London Underground sites. Apprentices study towards a Level 3 Information Communication Technician qualification in partnership with Velocity, using a block‑release delivery model and about five study weeks in the first year. The programme combines classroom learning with hands‑on experience on Hitachi Rail systems. Completion includes an End Point Assessment to confirm occupational competence before moving into a permanent role. We seek enthusiastic, motivated individuals who can manage their time effectively and show strong initiative. Ideal candidates have strong teamwork and problem‑solving skills and a passion for technology and the rail industry. The apprenticeship is designed for those eager to learn and grow within a leading engineering organisation. Applicants must have five GCSEs (grades A‑C) including Maths, English and a Science subject, and the legal right to work in the UK by the start date. The closing date for applications is 11:59 pm on Sunday 29 March 2026.
