About the Role
Under general direction, the HVAC Foreman performs preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and replacements of HVAC mechanical equipment and building control systems. The role also includes assisting branch leadership by coaching and mentoring technicians to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to operational processes. Customer interaction is a key responsibility: the Foreman communicates with customers upon arrival and departure, keeps them informed about service, and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs. They also ensure thorough project and service documentation, prepare quotes and estimates, and manage material needs for service delivery. • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and replacements of HVAC and building control systems. • Coach, mentor, and provide Level 1 technical support to branch technicians. • Ensure compliance with state, local, federal regulations and Johnson Controls safety standards. • Lead safety training for technicians and subcontractors on job sites. • Act as escalation point for complex technical issues and provide on‑the‑job training. • Communicate with customers before, during, and after service to ensure satisfaction and recommend upgrades. • Prepare project documentation, quotes, estimates, and material requisitions. • Deliver consultant‑level advice on building‑system repairs, enhancements, and efficiency improvements. • Maintain technical proficiency through required training, certifications, and self‑study.

Benefits
Compensation includes a base hourly rate of $69.08 plus $2.50 per hour for TTL, with benefits provided through a local labor union under a collective bargaining agreement.
