About the Role

• Set up trailers and build temporary structures like decks, stairs, and roofs between office units. • Install shelves, tool trailers/conexes, silt fences, straw bales, and follow the site erosion control plan. • Assist journeymen and foremen with grade and elevation shooting. • Unload, handle, stockpile, and erect prefabricated materials. • Perform concrete and rough carpentry, including walls, footings, gang wall forms, structural decks, drywall, finish carpentry, doors, frames, hardware, millwork, and cabinetry. • Build relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. • Work with precision, visualize objects from drawings, read plans, and operate equipment such as table saws, radial arm saws, sanders, drill presses, fall protection gear, rigging, and form systems. • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements. • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lb (loads over 50 lb require assistance or equipment).

Mortenson is seeking a Carpenter Apprentice (levels I-IV) to assist Journeyman and Foreman Carpenters with tasks while learning the trade. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship. • Hand-set forms and assemble gang forms. • Hold a high school diploma or GED. • Be currently enrolled in an apprenticeship program. • Prefer prior construction site experience. • Demonstrate strong teamwork, positive attitude, professional customer service, detail orientation, and effective communication. • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visas.
