Job Highlights
About the Role
• Perform general labor for aerial and underground construction, including trench digging, material unloading, and site preparation. • Operate fiber‑blowing equipment to install fiber optic cable in conduits. • Place conduit, read maps, and follow directions from foreman or supervisor. • Assist with vehicle and equipment movement, including towing trailers and operating line, bucket, and cable‑reel trucks (as certified). • Conduct maintenance tasks such as cleanup, vehicle washing, and landscaping. • Follow prescribed safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment. • Climb poles safely using climbing gear. • Troubleshoot and repair RF and fiber line issues; construct and relocate underground services. • Learn and read design schematics, maps, and inventory requirements; obtain certifications for equipment operation. • Adhere to NESC (National Electrical Safety Commission) safety guidelines.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 70 lb, and a willingness to engage in long‑term projects. • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record and be able to lift up to 70 lb. • Demonstrate strong safety awareness and consistently high‑quality workmanship. • Possess ability to read and interpret maps, drawings, and design schematics. • Have climbing certification or related experience in overhead RF and fiber construction. • Knowledge of overhead bill of materials, network architecture, and applicable city, county, and state codes. • Flagger certified for field work as needed. • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
