Job Highlights
About the Role
The Sorter is responsible for safely and efficiently processing incoming recyclable materials so that outbound commodities are acceptable for sale to various brokers or mills. • Sort and segregate recoverable materials (e.g., aluminum, plastic, glass, paper) from incoming waste. • Deposit recoverable materials safely and efficiently into the appropriate chute. • Assist other sorters with heavy or bulky items as needed. • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including stopping the conveyor belt in emergencies. • Inspect incoming loads for unacceptable waste and remove such items. • Communicate with equipment operators about special waste loads requiring attention.

What You Bring
Candidates should have prior experience working in a recycling facility sorting recyclable materials and will receive a base pay of $25.05 per hour.
