About the Role

What You Bring

Primary responsibilities include locating underground utilities such as water, gas, power, fiber optic, and telephone, and identifying their sizes, materials, and types. The technician works as part of a two‑to‑four‑person crew, gathers existing‑condition information, and assists with operation and maintenance of a vacuum excavation truck. Knowledge of SUE quality levels, new technologies, and support for topographic mapping are also required. Candidates should preferably hold an associate’s degree, with a minimum of a high‑school diploma or GED. Required skills include proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and the ability to type; familiarity with iOS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and tablet use is a plus.
