About the Role

The engineer will conduct preventative maintenance visits, provide on‑site remedial support, and produce detailed reports. They are responsible for keeping customer control systems current with software upgrades, quick fixes, and hardware replacements, as well as preparing and delivering upgrade plans. All work follows Schneider’s Global Service technical procedures and tools. Responsibilities include reviewing client orders, assessing technical risk for expansions or upgrades, and performing system and factory acceptance testing with appropriate documentation. • Perform preventative maintenance and on‑site remedial support, documenting outcomes. • Update customer control systems with the latest software, quick fixes, and hardware. • Prepare and deliver upgrade plans for client systems. • Follow Global Service technical procedures and use approved tools. • Review client orders and proposals, analyzing technical risk for expansions and upgrades. • Attend training on systems, instruments, process control, communication, and safety. • Support sales efforts to secure orders and service agreements as directed by the Regional Service Manager. • Ensure compliance with Schneider Electric contractual obligations and maintain customer satisfaction. • Conduct system testing, including factory acceptance testing (FAT), and develop test documentation.

What You Bring

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in electronic, computer, or related engineering and at least five years of progressive experience with Triconex and Foxboro DCS platforms. Core skills include installation and configuration of hardware, software, HMI, field instrumentation, and safety systems in oil & gas, power, or petrochemical environments, plus knowledge of PLCs, networking, communication protocols, and system security. Travel up to 50 % of the time to client sites on the West Coast is expected, with the remainder of duties performed remotely.
