About the Role

The Plant Maintenance Technician monitors and maintains all plant systems and equipment, including balers, conveyor belts, gearboxes, electrical motors, pulleys, shafts, and bearings. This role responds to system failures, takes corrective action, and ensures safe and efficient operation. The position reports to the Plant Maintenance Manager. The role involves working both inside gas‑plant facilities and outdoors in varying conditions such as inclement weather, heat, and humidity. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. • Perform repairs in accordance with WM Safety, Life Critical Rules, and OSHA requirements. • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment and components. • Maintain the Daily Equipment Inspections (DEI) backlog. • Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules and notify the Sr. Plant Maintenance Manager of any delays beyond Standard Repair Times. • Inspect and verify the quality of third‑party repairs and rebuilds. • Recommend improvements to production efficiency, equipment performance, and product quality. • Respond to emergency breakdowns with timely service calls. • Follow a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekends to support plant operations. • Keep work areas clean and safe, complying with corporate and OSHA standards.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least two years of relevant experience, be 18 years or older, and be legally authorized to work in the United States.
