About the Role

The successful candidate will join the ENR‑ranked #1 dams and reservoirs firm and will be responsible for managing client relationships, contracts, project planning and execution, financial and technical oversight, change management, and coordination of subcontractors. The position also involves business development, proposal preparation, and providing technical support for analyses, design, potential failure mode analyses, risk assessments, site inspections, construction observation, and regulatory compliance for hydraulic structures. Key duties include building and maintaining project schedules, managing resources, budgets and risk, planning field investigations of hydraulic structures and embankments, communicating with multidisciplinary teams, reviewing the work of other engineers, mentoring junior staff, and occasional travel to project sites. • Build and maintain project schedules, managing resources, budgets, and risk. • Plan and execute field investigations of hydraulic structures and embankments. • Communicate with multidisciplinary teams on dam and hydraulic structure projects. • Perform quality reviews of engineering deliverables such as calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications. • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members. • Travel to project sites as needed on a part‑time basis.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications are a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with coursework in geotechnical, structural, or hydrology/hydraulics and at least six years of relevant experience, a Professional Engineer license in one state (or passing the PE exam within six months), a valid U.S. driver’s license, and U.S. citizenship. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, experience with dam design or rehabilitation, leadership of multidisciplinary teams, completion of AECOM Project Manager certification training, proficiency with Power BI, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Procore or e‑Builder, and strong communication skills.
