About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous waste removal services. The role includes ensuring the vehicle complies with company safety standards, adhering to all state and federal regulations, and completing daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs) to address any defects. Drivers conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, monitor tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, and report any issues. While on route, they read the route sheet, load and compact refuse using manual or automatic controls, and deliver the material to the designated disposal site. Customer interaction is a core part of the job; drivers must treat customers, dispatchers, and coworkers professionally and address any unsatisfactory waste containers in accordance with procedures. They also maintain vehicle cleanliness, clean accidental spills, and complete required productivity and reporting forms while meeting departmental productivity standards. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and complete daily VCRs. • Safely operate the collection truck on assigned routes, loading, compacting, and disposing waste. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and crew to ensure timely service. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers; monitor waste for prohibited materials. • Clean spills and maintain vehicle cleanliness in accordance with safety standards. • Complete route, productivity, and other required reports. • Meet productivity standards and adhere to all safety policies, including ReSOP participation.

What You Bring
The minimum requirement is a Class B (or higher) commercial driver’s license with an air‑brake endorsement, and the position works Tuesday through Saturday. Strong customer service, time‑management, and adherence to safety policies are essential. • Hold a Class B (or higher) CDL with an air‑brake endorsement.
