About the Role

The OSM Analyst will conduct whole‑building energy analysis, perform technical reviews, and provide recommendations to reduce energy use, improve constructability, and achieve cost savings on design‑build and design‑bid‑build projects located in Charlotte, NC. The analyst will also generate optimization opportunities and support both design‑build and design‑bid‑build project delivery. • Perform technical reviews of project designs to assess OSM, constructability, and cost‑saving opportunities. • Conduct whole‑building energy analysis using specialized software. • Review and provide recommendations on specifications, design drawings, basis‑of‑design documents, reports, and shop drawings. • Ensure compliance with local and national building codes. • Propose design optimizations and constructability improvements related to OSM. • Evaluate non‑conformances and operational issues, offering guidance for resolution. • Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams (e.g., geotechnical, structural, architectural, MEP, vertical transportation, acoustics, fire) throughout design and construction phases. • Build effective relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to influence project outcomes.

What You Bring

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or a related field and at least four years of industry experience. Candidates should have strong knowledge of sustainable building practices, building‑energy systems, and experience with LEED rating systems, energy modeling, and peer reviews. Physical demands include frequent sitting, computer work, and occasional lifting of up to 25 lb. The work environment varies between moderate‑to‑loud construction sites and quiet office or remote settings, with compliance to safety policies required. • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Sustainable Design, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. • Minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience. • Knowledge of building environments and sustainable design practices. • Professional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP), ASHRAE, or LEED AP (preferred). • Proven experience applying LEED rating systems and conducting detailed energy analyses. • Experience with large‑scale building energy modeling, daylight analysis, CFD, and solar PV models. • Advanced understanding of HVAC systems and energy‑efficiency strategies. • Strong critical analysis and structured communication skills. • Familiarity with U.S. building codes, LEED, and other sustainability certifications. • Ability to develop specialized solutions and anticipate project challenges.
