About the Role
The position will oversee end‑to‑end cost management, develop cost plans and forecasts, manage change control and procurement strategies, and integrate cost data with scheduling. It also includes commercial reporting, risk analysis, value engineering, performance tracking, and continuous improvement of tools and processes. • Lead end‑to‑end cost management for hyperscale data centre programmes. • Create and maintain detailed cost plans, estimates and forecasts using industry benchmarks. • Manage change control, review and negotiate change orders, and ensure commercial governance. • Oversee contractor and subcontractor pricing reviews and develop procurement strategies. • Integrate cost forecasts with project schedules and milestones. • Produce monthly cost reports, executive summaries and financial updates for stakeholders. • Conduct cost risk analysis, scenario planning and monitor market trends for pricing. • Develop cost‑optimisation and value‑engineering strategies to reduce lifecycle costs. • Set, track and report KPIs and critical success factors to senior leadership. • Implement and maintain Business Management Systems and delivery methodologies. • Identify and implement process improvements, templates and knowledge‑capture tools. • Provide leadership, mentorship and performance management for junior staff. • Act as brand ambassador, build market pipeline and pursue cross‑selling opportunities. • Contribute to proposals, RFP responses and networking events to expand business. • Ensure compliance with SOX control requirements where applicable.

What You Bring
The firm is hiring an experienced Associate Director – Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on a large‑scale mission‑critical data‑center programme. The role is client‑facing, requires strong communication and stakeholder influence, and is responsible for strategic leadership throughout the project lifecycle. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field, with 8‑10+ years of cost‑management or project‑control experience on large, mission‑critical projects. Required expertise includes budgeting, EVM, procurement, MEP systems, and proficiency with CostX, Oracle, Excel or Primavera; RICS accreditation is highly desirable. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related field (graduate degree preferred). • Possess 8‑10+ years of cost‑management or project‑control experience on large‑scale projects. • Demonstrate expertise in budgeting, Earned Value Management, procurement and MEP systems. • Proficient with CostX, Oracle, Excel, Primavera or equivalent cost‑management tools. • RICS accreditation or progress toward certification highly desirable. • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
