About the Role

The Power Sector Business Development Leader for the South Central region will guide HDR’s expansion, cultivate strategic client relationships, and influence market strategy while collaborating with internal teams to align talent and expertise with regional opportunities. • Drive market share and revenue growth across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas. • Serve as trusted advisor to utilities and power developers, aligning HDR capabilities with client goals. • Lead major pursuits and campaigns, develop winning strategies, and oversee proposal efforts. • Collaborate with market and operations leadership to define and execute regional strategic plans. • Mentor and train teams to enhance business development skills and foster a client‑focused culture. • Align talent and expertise with client needs in partnership with operational teams.

What You Bring

• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in the power market with a strong record of client development. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, business, marketing, or a related field. • Deep knowledge of the South Central energy market and professional services procurement. • Proven ability to motivate, inspire, and build a network of clients and industry partners. • Strong financial acumen, negotiation, and communication skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and willingness to travel regionally. • Prior experience in the South Central U.S. power sector (preferred). • Familiarity with contracting for transmission, distribution, generation, renewables, and environmental services (preferred).
