About the Role

The role focuses on onboarding, developing, coaching, mentoring, and managing the performance of all drivers and helpers. It requires establishing and maintaining positive relationships with front‑line employees and spending the majority of the day in the field alongside them. Key responsibilities include ensuring new frontline employees have the tools, instruction, and feedback they need for daily duties, meeting with them daily for consistent communication, and providing regular touchpoints and best‑practice reviews. The incumbent also focuses on employees’ career goals, identifies improvement opportunities, leads safety practices, conducts root‑cause investigations for injuries, and maintains required regulatory documentation such as DOT records, DVIRs, and attendance logs. Customer site visits are performed to evaluate and resolve safety issues and to explore alternative services. The position operates in a hybrid environment, combining office work with plant and field duties, and routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines. • Onboard, coach, mentor, and manage performance of drivers and helpers. • Provide tools, instruction, and feedback to new frontline employees. • Conduct daily check‑ins with new hires for consistent communication. • Deliver regular touchpoints and best‑practice reviews to improve performance. • Support employee career‑goal development and identify improvement opportunities. • Lead safety practices and conduct root‑cause investigations for injuries. • Document and audit regulatory records (DOT, DVIRs, time, tickets) daily. • Visit customer sites to resolve safety issues and explore service alternatives.

What You Bring

Required qualifications are an accredited associate’s degree or a high school diploma with at least two years of relevant experience, a minimum age of 18, legal eligibility to work in the country, and a valid driver’s license. Preferred candidates have successfully completed the WM Operations Manager Trainee program. • Maintain a valid driver’s license and meet age and legal work eligibility requirements. • Hold an associate degree or high school diploma with two years relevant experience. • Prefer candidates who completed the WM Operations Manager Trainee program.
